It isn't. It is only those sexist, ignorant or immature Females who think that because They have read an article about Men in a magazine that They truly understand Us. I can deliver a baby without knowing the pain of child birth. Does that justify My telling You how You felt at the time? No. Try starting to listen just a little bit more, rather than just hearing what We are saying. It is not all that difficult. There are even some American Women who can do it without need to refer to a TV show's hosts latest 'You must read this' book. Stop covering Your lack of ability to rationalize the behaviour of Men by blaming others. That could well be the true reason why Males do not 'open up' to You. That and the fact that you might not be trustworthy enough to keep a secret.
Men have a 'switch' that goes "CLICK" when We want to be alone with Our thoughts. And then You come along and want to be the centre of attention, and spoil it for Us. Thank You very much. There was Your lesson for the day. Put it to good use. Pick your moment to talk 'with' Us not 'to' or 'at' Us. Anyone who knows anything about Men can tell You when that moment is.
Cheers.

I don't think they do. I think men generally tell it how it is more than women. While they may not be as public with some emotions or eloquent with the phrasings at times, chances are if a man feels any true passion about something he's going to let whoever it concerns no, and pretty flat out.

Women on the aother hand may display emotion on a wider variety of topics, but often its on things they really could care less about, and often thier displays become so complicated that thier true feeling are undecipherable.

Because most of the time, we don't actually feel anything. Men do open up - it's just that they are different animals to women and have different feelings and different ways of expressing them. Women live in an emotional universe and have emotional reactions to things that men don't. That's not always necessarily a good thing - it's not always appropriate to have emotions about things.

They are men! Why don't men ever ask for directions? Why don't men understand us?
It might be pride, yet it might be fear. Society puts out a definition of how and what men should be like. It's like women...we're all trying to look like the models in the magazine bucause that is what society expects of us. When society changes maybe the guys will too. They aren't our girlfriends that just open up all the time, but when they do...be there for them!!

A. We don't really think about our own feelings that much.
B. Even if we did, we wouldn't want to talk about them. They're feelings. They're private. No offense, but many women don't seem to value privacy as much as men do. That's been my experience, anyway.
C. We're men. We're not driven by intuition so much as we are driven by stimulus and logic. This happened, therefore we must do this. Feelings tend to complicate the equation.

I don't think they find it hard to say how they feel i personally believe that it is they don't want to let their guard down or to be seen as a soft touch so to speak. Women find it easier to deal with because it is seen as acceptable for us to cry with men they are perceived as macho and the one to take care of us so to be open about their feelings is perhaps seen as a bit weak.

Personally I think people who find it hard to open up emotionally. Are hiding something. Their true feelings. About whatever it is.
