I'd say that my fav. has to be either Quintin Tarrantino or Spike Lee. Both Directors are very controvertial but only because their films tend to portray real life in the US and the Yanks are too ignorant to accept that their rotten country is in deep s***. Their films portray the real society of the US and the typical intelligence levels of US citizens. Basically, both Tarrantino and Lee show that Yanks are just a wild pack of drug taking, paranoid, schitzophrenic, crazy, violent, gun running, low lifes and that's why those Directors are controvertial, because they show the rest of the world the real US and what it's people stand for
