A pregnancy test measures for a hormone present only when pregnant.If you do the test to soon the level of this hormone may be to low you can get a negative result even if pregnant-a false negative.It is best to waite until your period is 7 days late.you will then get an accurate result.

You can test yourself whenever you like, the docs use the same tests as the ones in the chemist anyway.

you can buy pregnancy tests that detect the pregnancy hormone from 4 days before your period id due, i did one about 3 days before and there was a faint blue line, any line faint or dark means your pregnant.
