I think it is worth reading because is the great story of a woman, a very brave woman, who overcome all of her many problems. It is a tale of hope- like a cascade of purple bougainville flowers suddenly appearing on a gray concrete wall.

I read it. I love art that makes me cry. It had me all snotty. Very good. Alice Walker ROCKS.
