Oh ease up a bit...after all how can you expect them to know this stuff? They are on permanent holiday, just moved into a new villa, got a good excuse not to go back to work, ever, got a Million pounds of other peoples money in the bank that they are legally entitled to spend on themselves.
Its turned out nice again.

sorry but any person who is thick enough to be oblivious of the mundane nature of child abduction and child murders should just not have kids. it is common knowledge to all parents and god dont we know it as we try to protect our children every day from those monsters. i can see, and i dont mean they deserved this because nobody deserves to lose a child, but i can seriously see how they got into this situation in the first place.
who would be so stupid as to leave their THREE children alone in a hotel in a foreign country especially considering how maddys siblings were even younger and this would be an especially dangerous age to leave children unattended?
im sorry but they have no idea of what good parenting is - and they're bloody lucky that the abductors didnt take the other two.

And just exactly how much did you or any of the McCann bashing groupies know about child abduction before May 3rd?
I take it, from your last statement that you now accept that this is a case of child abduction? And by virtue of that, that you accept the existence of an abductor?

Who really hires a PR agent to advertise the fact that their child has been abducted ??? They haven't reacted how most people would to having their child abducted. It is too clinical and so far I haven't seen them show too much emotion. The advertisements before a movie screening at the cinema is completely out of taste and an invasion of other peoples enjoyment. I am sick of hearing about madeline. There's thousands of other people who have been abducted that need support more than these superficial parents. Lets support them instead.

What I found even more sinister in G McC's blog was his use of the expression 'successful' abductions, as opposed to abductions that are happily resolved or foiled before they actually take place. WTF is that supposed to mean?
I hope you get to read this answer...I'm a bit late joining in because I'm working for a living at the mo, so not as much access to my friends on here.

Why should they know anything about child abductions or anything else come to that. They don't seem any too sure of what happened on the night that Madeleine disappeared. Anyway, if they admitted any knowledge about child abduction they might be even more severely criticised fortheir part in the disappearance of Madeleine.

I agree with Mysterious. I think they have their heads stuck somewhere where it is very dark indeed! I think they know what the score was; I think that the way in which their babies were treated is their normal lifestyle and they saw no good reason to change it just because they were in another country. What amazing arrogance!

I think that they are burying their heads in the sand and by stating that they didn't realise how widespread child abduction is, it's almost like they're trying to excuse leaving the kids alone as they thought there was little or no risk involved.

I note on Gerry's blog how defensive he is getting about the obsession with publicity he has 'we are told this will help find Madeliene' - like right who told you that - your PR person?
Fact is she could have wandered off and drowned in sea that night, they have no idea because they weren't with her and the door was unlocked. Didn't she get out before and was found wandering about? I think this aspect needs more focus - I am beginning to doubt someone went into room.

They make statements without even researching facts. The only reason she is 'aware' is because it struck home. If it did not then she could not even be bothered with the fact the kidnappings and child trafficking exsist.

This is utter stupid, if they didnt decide to go out and leave the kids on their own then this would not have happened!! who leaves kids that age on their own! you would not even do that at home would you? Its people like them that make me sick as some people can not have babies and do their very best to try but nothing happens, then you read in the paper about these irresponsible parents (if that is what you can call them) leave their kids to go out for a bite to eat and a drink, havent they heard about people all over the world taking kids for a nice tidy ransom? or perhaps there is a bit more to this kidnapping then they are letting on.......
