What more has a record of making good teams.
But he has not yet coached an already established team. So we cannot say anything much.
As of Lawson, we have no international record for him so far. But he was a class fast bowler. And, as Pakistan also has a treasure of young fast bowling talents, he should be able to bring up young fast bowlers to international level. So, at least he can excel in one department.
Any way let us wait and see what happens ...

I dont think so asLawson has no experience of coaching any international cricket team,whereas Watmorehas successfully coached Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Team.

it is the duty of the board to select, and i think they make the good decision for oour cricket team. And our duty is to just give opinions, sincerely,i don' t know about these two, because i have never heard about the both in coaching... i think u should ask this question after 20 20 world cup....
