whenever i play games the one like NFS, Roadrash,..initially the display will be fine .but after 15 or 20 minutes it starts to turn into black and white dots.the game will be running fine.Is there a problem with my monitor?

I it only happens with games then I doubt that it is the monitor. It is not smart enough to know what you are doing.

I would guess that your graphics chip is overheating. Some of the apps with the graphics card can measure the GPU temperature. If you can see if that is going too high.

Make sure you graphics card is up to running the game. Make sure that you have good ventilation across the graphics card heatsink and out of the case.

It could be Try Swapping it out with another. But it sounds more like a video card or your processor is getting to hot under load.Take your side panel off and lay it on its side . It will run a lot cooler. Dont run it when its in an enclosure! Swap out your video card with one you know that works. Check your processors temp with systems utillities that show temp fluctuation when not and when under heavy load ,like playing a game Then replace defective part Clean your computer case and make sure your fins on your board chips and processors arent filled with dust or animal hair.They will get very dirty even in clean house! Dont use water! use blown air and a vacum cleaner

doubt it the monitor, I think its your graphics card..

Do this, Take it out, get a air can duster and blow it clean, same as your computer

i had my computer that it wasnt cleaned for about a year and it started to make the image on the screen do weird things, anyway it all went away after i cleaned it

no sounds like your graphics card is not big enough to handle the game graphics. your card probably doesn't have enough MB's to run that program properly
