Yeah I feel uncomfortable for myself and the other person. I wouldn't want anyone to be following me on a street alone.

I usually feel bad for the person in front of me, especially if it's a female. Sometimes I just want to shout to them "Hey! It's okay, I'm not a psychopath or a mugger!" But that might just creep them out all the more.

No, but I feel it awkward when someone's walking behind me esp when the streets are vaccant. It really makes me very cautious.

Yeah,dude.Totally.Especially if it's a woman.I need to show her in some way that I have no intentions other than walking.So I keep my head down and either walk past him or deliberately slow down.

Kind of. If you remain behind them, you can keep a better eye on them than if you pass them, so it is probably better to be behind than in front.
