Good for you.

Ignore your selfish friends. For a test, ask them to contribute some $ so when you go down there, you can help even more, or maybe buy something you forgot to buy in the States. In any case, do what feels right. There are poor people all over the place needing help. Don't let small minds hold you back.

Props to you JoHo. What you are doing is a very honorable thing and you are wise beyond your years. It is this sort of quality that seperates you from your friends and they should envy you, not critisize you. When I was 15 all I could do was think about girls and getting a drivers license. I don't know you, but the decision to help out in Mexico is a very mature decision and I am sure it will help you as you grow into adulthood. Very impressive!!!!!!!!

Good luck and keep it up. To bad your "friends" aren`t going to another country to experience life. People like you are what keeps the rest of us hoping that the next generation CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Hold your head high and don`t be to surprised at what you see. You are not in north america as you are used to it. Watch your back and your money. But hold that torch high, and maybe someone will help you hold it. God bless. Come home safe

Your friends just don't care about anything but themselves! They don't know what's going on in the world around them as they live their lives. You should sit down with them and tell them how this could help Mexico and how it could make a difference in the world. If they're your friends, they should be supporting you, not laughing at you!

Most people don't care about other people who aren't as lucky as we are! I wouldn't listen to them, they shouldn't be teasing you about something that is great that you are doing for the poor! If they are your friends, they should understand why you are doing this. Anyway, when you move to Germany, there will be plenty of people who don't understand what helping the poor mean to you, but there will be some people who are going to respect you for what you want to do.

Are you a US citizen? If so, then why don't you help the needy in the US instead of another country? In fact, if you are not a Mexican citizen, then why Mexico!? Seems like you are trying to run away from something. But just remember, wherever you go, you have to take you with you...

My daughter went to Equador when she was 15. She learned a lot. But why not help the poor right here in the USA?

FRIENDS?!? No, son, they are not your friends. You need to put these clowns on your real life ignore list indefinitely. Read: They are not worthy of your presence.

You are doing GREAT by helping out the poor in Mexico. Best of luck to you!
