bcoz i've got some very annoying friends who r just waiting to do so every time i pick up a book... the harry potter latest..thats their next victim sadly..

Some people just like to ruin things for others. Other people aren't really thinking when they give away the end, their just trying to share and/or help out. This latter group I think just tends to be too excited to even realize their ruining the experince for others.

I have read that people drove around in some cities and parked outside of the book stores, stood outside, and yelled to everyone about who died. etc. They would run back to their car when the bookstore manager would go out to stop them, and zoom away laughing madly. Those people are mentally children and they hang around with people just like them, thus not being able to see how stupid they all look. They should not be out after 7:30 p.m. when all good children go to bed. They are looking for attention and don't know another way to get it either.

There are two type of people in the world: Those who watch movies and read books for a purpose, and those who watch movies and read books for the enjoyment of doing it.
I guess your in the first category, and your annoying friends are in the second. They see it not as ruining the movie or the book for you, but instead they see it as helping you enjoy the movie, by telling you how much they loved it.
I thank the person who told me the end to the last Harry Potter book before I read it. It saved me 500 pages of reading.
