Have you read "Heart Shaped Box" by Joe Hill ?

I finished it last night and have to say it was the most enjoyable Horror novel I have read in years.

Great read. I agree with you as it was enjoyable for me as well. t was refreshing to read a ghost story that really had some kick to it. I found out afterwards that Joe Hill is Stephen King's son. He has a future.
