It is not just what his morals are, but how well he actually sticks to them - especially when the chips are down. Is he/she able to perform as he/she has always preached? You would be suprised to see many people's lofty morals fall apart when it gets a little tough. Real moral fiber is exemplified by someone i know who believed in helping her family. Ten years ago when things deteriorated, this angelic person took over and worked 80 hour weeks to support her family and her sister's children. She is still doing it and sacrifices all for those she loves. She doesn't just talk lofty morals... She lives them. I think you recognize my example, anghel ko. (-;
Likewhatupwiththat: WTF? bite what????... "It"?... Sorry, I don't belive in ghosts and all I heard you got is a handful of hair. If I chomp down on air, i could break a tooth. Lets post a picture of "it" as your avetar... Thinkerbelle needs a good laugh.

The same way a metallurgist tests the strength of a bar of steel: test to destruction. That's what we do every lifetime.
You never know what strength you have until it is needed. Trust me, I know about this: My Steve committed suicide on December 16, 2005. I found out I am stronger than I would have believed possible. The proof is I'm still alive.

"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."
You have to ignore the person's words and judge his actions. Not his accomplishments, or his wealth, but his behavior. Specifically, his treatment of inferiors. A man with solid moral fiber will still treat a person well, even if doing so gives him no advantage.

It shows how well he can deal with Truth being humble and with good sense and judgment. The biggest test is how long one needs to stay moral with endurance (because of adversity etc). You can only gauge it with your own sense of perception, intellect, wisdom and knowledge. The truth is far greater than what we know now. It shows in their behaviour, attitude, words (thoughts too) and action or deeds. It is moral when one helps with gladness and brings peace, harmony and understanding into lives. Morality unifies peacefully.

The "only threshold" of one's moral strenth is "absolute" FAITH to GOD the almighty. Our -- all of us -- physical body is naturally prone to sin. This is a fact that no one can deny. We are just mortals and there is someboby more powerful than us. He is the omnipotent

I like Eleanor Roosevelt's answer to that - it applies to women thought. She said "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she is in hot water." Pax - C
