Yes: even if I knew them really well: if they made it known that they liked me too I would get really nervous and quieter than normal (I'm shy: especially when it came to dating), at least until I was dating them for a little while.
Luckily I don't have to deal with that now, since I found a great guy: been married 2 years, seeing each other for 4.
