I think that every person that you love changes you in ways and teaches you something. I think the same is true for the people that love you. Even when things don't work out or you lose someone in death the experience is one of the most worthwhile you can have, even with the hurts. I think that past loves build you into the person that you are for the love you end up settling down with. I had two major boyfriends before I met my husband and although yes some part of me will always care about them the love that I have for my husband is only enhanced by those experiences. Does that make sense?

Yeah, it's hard to deny the things you liked about them in the beginning. I feel I will always have a thing (although very small) for people I "loved" in the past.

theres certian aspects that ill always love about the one i love.
ive only really loved 2 people, and some things about them were just so great, and diverse.
