besides the whole mostly cash handling, dishonest employee's, rowdy customers and keeping track of the inventory. any other difficulties i'm not thinking about?

There are tons of zoning restrictions you have meet, plus getting a liquor license isn't the funnest thing either. Be sure you are ready for the rowdy crowd from time to time as well.

The late hours. Not enough rest or sleep for the owner.

Liability for accidents if you overserve and your customers drive away.
Obnoxious drunks to deal with.
Poisoning people (alcohol is toxic)
