8 hours is supposedly how much adults are supposed to sleep. Teens and children need about 9-11 hours. I need about 9 hours or I am tired tired tired. However, it can differ from person to person. Some people only need 5 or 6 hours to be alert and ready to go all day! ..no one's the same. Try to figure out how many hours make you feel best and go with that. There is a point where you will start to feel worse than you did when you went to sleep. Trust me. I've crossed that line many times...haha. So yes, too much sleep can be bad.
Yesterday night though, i slept for 14 hours. CRAZY i know..haha i've never slept that much. I didn't feel too bad though so it's cool.

I am a heavy sleeper. I need 10 hours of sleep to feel refreshed and active the whole day. Sometimes if I lack sleep, I would sleep 12 hours! It really sucks. I need to sleep early than others. Also less night outs. If I am not mistaken, Albert Einstein sleeps 12 hours a day!

Well I play football so I get a work out just about every day and I'm tired after that but I dont fall asleap because I know I wont sleep good that night and sleep all day :/ buts most the time I get arround 9-11 hours sleep :D

Perfectly fine... I sleep 5 hours sometimes, 6, sometimes 12 hours because my body needs to catch up. I never wake up to an alarm clock and thats the best way to go. Plus during the time of sleep, your body is basically dry fasting not taking in liquids or food which means it's cleaning up your body and restoring everything.

first how old are you because during adolescent is normal sleep more than 8 hrs is recommended sleep 1 or 2 hrs after school the body present so many hormonal change and you body is group up.

I researched it and found you are more likely to get diabetes if you sleep more or less than 6-9 hours of sleep
