Im getting a Dummy, and Everybody keeps saying it looks weird. I dont think so, so i ignore it. But anyway, I Want the Dummy bad and They already Shipped it. I saw the Movie Dead Silence and The Twilight Zone (with the evil dummy) and Ive always thought they were creepy. I was happy to be getting a dummy, but now im Freaked out, What do i do?

I have a completely evil looking old clown doll that an old lady gave me from her basement. everyone asks how I sleep with it in the room. You just realize it's a doll and don't worry. I would put him on my drums and make him a star, so what more could a clown want? He still freaks people out but to me he's the coolest clown in the world.By thinking of him that way, why would he scare me?

Let's put it this way: a ventriloquist dummy is a doll that you put your hand up inside. You move the mouth, you may be able to move the eyes, you're the one that provides the voice and the lap that the dummy sits on.
The scary dummies in movies are still dolls, operated by special effects folks.
If you're scared of the thought of holding a big doll on your lap, you might want to re-think your career in ventriloquism.

Enjoy it. Learn how to use him properly. The wooden figures do take some getting used to.
I was told the same thing about my wooden dummy. Once I got him and got used to him, people thought he was hilarious. Except my mom. I don't think she ever liked him. *shrug*
I'd say if those movies freaked you out, watch other things that don't freak you out with them in it. Watch Jeff Dunham and Walter. Watch Jim Barger and Seville. Look for old Paul Winchell/Jerry Mahoney videos. Can probably find a few of them online.
By the way, what kind of figure did you get?

Sounds like your period. With my first I had the bleeding for 4 weeks and then 1 week went by and then I got my period :P Second time I got my period at about 5-6 wees also...but I had less lochia that time so a couple of weeks in between that time.

Well, all dolls have the tendency to scare the pants off of me, but you shouldn't let what people's selfish opinion and exaggerated movies + television programs to take you away from your passion and love, so don't let the lies and stupid horror discourage you, if I was your friend, I would tell you : go for it!
