It depends on whether you want it to be "complimentary" or "snide".

Complimentary: "insightful analysis"

Snide: "Revealing distortion of events"

Here are a few ideas. Some are colorful or have more punch than others. Some take a little liberty. None are cliches, which I think is what you are trying to avoid (cliches.) Some of the more colorful options are strongly worded and would be used selectively depending upon the context.

cogent commentary
convincing commentary
excellent explanation
daunting discourse
ominous observation
striking narration
potent primer
extraordinary exposition
revealing discussion
torrid treatise
remarkable review
authoritative narration
