Birth control and tumor/cyst in breast?..?

I have a tumor/cyst in both breast and i was told i shouldnt take birth control pills because it can irritate the tissue around the tumor and in some instances make it grow. Is that true?

It's very possible that it could but I would recommend getting another opinion from another doctor preferably one that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently see to find out what they say.
