If your snoring is really loud and disruptive, chances are good that you have a condition called sleep apnea, which MUST be taken seriously. Untreated sleep apnea not only stresses both the snorer and everyone else in the house who can't get a good night's sleep, it can also lead to heart malfunction and death! And don't think that only overweight people have this condition -- that's just not true.
Apnea is easily treated with the use of a night-breathing aid called a CPAP. You must see a sleep doctor before you can get one, as they have to be individually adjusted, but most insurance covers the cost. CPAP eliminates snoring 100% and keeps your heart from being damaged. Surgery is very rarely used to treat apnea, as the success rate is not that good.
Please ask your doctor to refer you to a sleep doctor or sleep clinic ASAP. These facilities often have a long waiting list, and procrastinating can really damage your health. Do it today.

If you are overweight this will make your snoring worse. I lost about 20kg and as far a I know I no longer snore.
There are products on the market that can help you but it would be best to see a doctor because you may be suffering from sleep apnea. this is were you actually stop breathing for short periods during the night. See a doctor now before it is too late.

Most overweight people snore, but sometimes its not the case in some. If you sleep on your back, sometimes your tongue could roll back which can cause your air passage way to be blocked. Ever tried sleeping on your side or on your stomach? maybe that may help.

You have to go the doctor. The doc will order a sleep study to rule out things like sleep apnea and test for sinus problems. Once the doc finds the cause or rules out a cause he will tell you how to treat it. Call tomorrow and get a doc appointment set up.
