Hummm .. correct me if I'm wrong ... but isn't this what they're there for? I know some will argue (especially in California) that it only makes people speed up .... I say you should always do it. Much safer because people can anticipate how they will need to react to you changing lanes - even if they try to speed up they know there 's a chance you're going to pull in front of them. If you give them no warning ... it's just plain dangerous and stupid! (And believe me, I had a job once that saw some gruesome car accidents first hand ... you should always be safe and NOT sorry!)

Uh duh...you kind of have to. Although some people don't so you have no idea if their going into your lane or not. Which is why you should ALWAYS use your blinkers.

Yes. I generally avoid changing lanes though. I have actually been behind a bus for a while. I stopped at all it's stops rather than change lanes.

yes - and it aggravates me when people don't - or even more so when they leave the blinker ON after that for like 3 miles =)
