I get a severe pain during intercourse. I got married 5 years back and have a 4 year kid. The pain started only after my child's birth. The pain is so severe that I cannot bare it. what to do? Why is it paining? The gynac I consulted can not answer this question. Do any one have answer to this type of problem. Is this because I take care of my child and not intrested in sex, that is a psycological problem?

Go see a different doctor!
Can you actually complete intercourse? Can you not?
Different problems cause different results. See someone who knows what they are talking about. Some people lose interest in sex temporarily, but not usually for four years!

If your gynac cant answer your question, he shouldnt be a gynac. You are definately not too old to have sex. Are you interested in sex yes or no? That is something you can answer. Go to another dr, maybe something was done wrong during your childs birth

This is not normal. I agree with the others who answered find another doc. Was this your first pregnancy? Were their complications with the delivery? How long were you in labor? Did they use forceps or an internal monitor? Are your periods regular? Does it hurt to do other things, like sit for long periods of time? Is there pain regardless of position? These are things your doc should ask. You should have a thorough exam and tests before it should be labeled psychological. My guess is you don't want to have sex because it is painful, not your mind is making it painful because you don't want to have sex. Good luck.

Find yourself another gynocologist who is more updated. This is not in your head and it is a common problem--go to webmd.com for more answers and put pain during sex and it will give you some more insight into this problem

My dr. said it was due to lack of lubrication, and to use KY liquid.

If you've already tried that, then you need a new OB/Gyn. Keep visiting drs. until you find one who is acquainted with this condition. You are still a young woman and should not have to go sex-less for the rest of your life.
