2x is not 2 to the power of x it means 2 times x. unless x is the exponent then it's 2 to the power of x. But then you couldn't know the answer unless you knew what x was. I think it means 2 times x. anyone can see x is five. But 2 2x?? I don't know. Is there a dot or an * between the twos? If so, that means times as well. so it would be 2 times 2x which is 20 (two times 5 is 10, two times 10 is 20)

2^x=10 squaring on both sides
we have (2 ^ x) ^ 2 = 10^2
= 100
hence 2 ^ 2x = 100

Done!

2^x=10--> '^' means 'to the power of'
2^2x
=2^(x+x)
=2^x * 2^x
=10*10
=100
-----Alternatively,
2^2x
=2^(2*x)
=2^(x*2)
=(2^x)^2
=(10)^2
=100
