Please make sure that thing is completely off. It means your quickly being gassed to death! If it continues to run you will die. People have been known to committ sucide like that! You can call the landlord or the gas company they will help you. This is serious!!!!

yes... close all windows, wait about 10 hours, then light a match. Just kidding. Please open windows to air out house, then check the pilot lights.

It might also mean your pilot light is out. You may want to check that.

if you can smell it then turn it off. but the reason the fire isn't coming on might be cause the gas isn't on and it won't light.

if your pilot light is not on, you have a problem. nothing major, but keep a window open until you figure it out.
