I'd ask her why she was breaking and entering. If she had a reasonable story, I'd offer her a bowl of oatmeal (I don't have porridge), then send her on her way.

Tell her to get out of bed and make it up, Tell her to clean up the mess she made when she broke the chair, call her parents to come and get her, then threaten to file charges on her for breaking and entering unless she cleans my whole house from top to bottom once a week for a year.this is my way of answering. Hope it helps.

Make her fix breakfast, make my bed, and help rearrange all the furniture in the living room. I would work her tail off and teach her to not go into strangers houses !! Then I would march her home and have a long pow wow with her parents or guardian !! LOL,,,,,Yeah Right !! haha !

Make her wash all the dirty porridge bowls, and do a couple of loads of laundry while she's there, oh..and mop the kitchen floor, and take out the trash. All the stuff I have to do on my day off tomorrow.

I would engage her in light social conversation. Attempt to befriend her. Find out her interests in life and her motivations. Read her some poetry. Then invite her to come back.

It is, after all, a children's story.
