Not no, but hell no! Don't you think kids have enough to deal with without pushing someone elses lifestyle on them? Oh yeah, their school years will just be a living hell! Anyone who would consider doing this can't tell me that they are doing this for the kids sake! That's just pure B/S! Selfish, selfish people!

I think it's great if they adopt, because there are so many kids that need to be loved and as long as they have a loving family, I don't care who has them. But unfortunately, some people aren't ready for this kind of family and the child will be defending their parents their whole life. I know two women who have a son together and they love him so much! But he is 4 and he is already teased at school for having 2 moms. It's awful. It's better than having an abusive mother or father basically.

G'day Richo.....deep question!

I'm still undecided on this one. Whilst I have no prejudices towards homosexual couples, something about the idea of raising children doesn't sit right at all.

I'm sure they would love a child just the same, however this isn't about the parents rights and personal agenda, it's about the child's rights.

It is also about a family unit that has survived the test of time with a mother and father figure.....I'm not talking religion or cultural issues...I'm talking laws of nature and inherent social instincts of mankind.

In today's changing world though, what would I know?!?! As you asked, this is just my opinion for what it's worth.

Hope you're still loving the sea change! 8-)

It just doesn't make sense - two men raring a little girl or boy? I think it's sick and wrong..

Gay people are dead on, i'll give them that (I know a few).
Firstly I don't agree with the concept of homosexuality (simply because God forbids it).
But a gay couple bringing up a child is absurb, they'll be playing happy families everyday of their lives.
I know i'm gonna get booed for this but the reality is:
It may seem right to gays, but the kids heads are gonna be warped when they're older

the same as male female couples having children. if they know they want children and they will be good parents then whats to stop them. they will treat there child the same and will hopfuly teach them a more open mind about such things.

the only problem i may have on this subject is that i would feel sorry for the child if it was teased about having gay parents which might in turn make the child become less close to the parents.

my overall view is that it is perfectly ok.

I dont know if it would ake the child confused. Where are y mommy and daddy? I have two moms or two dads that sleep together? How will the other kids react to that? Too many obstacles for the child. The child doesnt deserve that,

A family is a group of people who live together and love each other. I see nothing wrong with it. Perhaps such families will raise more tolerant and less bigoted adults. The world could use more of those.

Besides, just because a couple is heterosexual does not mean that they are any more likely to stay together, or raise better children.

I don't have a problem with it. I mind my own business
It's how the children will handle it as they get older. If they are raised correctly they will be more than able to handle any problems that may result.

I'll catch flack for this one, but oh well, here goes. God intended for a man and woman to get married - Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Therefore, same-sex couples should not be allowed to have children because they are breaking God's laws. That's my official position, but I actually have gay friends and they have kids and they are great parents. And, they know how I feel and we all choose to overlook our differences and I love them just like I do my straight friends.

i dont mind people being gay at all.
the problem is that if they adopt a child, since they cant have one, it is mental abuse for the child. they will be teased about it in the future, and they probably wont be raised correctly. by all means, people can be gay, but they shouldn't adopt a poor child and make its life even worse.
