i have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and it blowsss at bf2!! it can only run on low settings and its still choppy!! so wut i want to know from u is........wut is a good video card i can buy from around $300? im thinking the GeForce 8800 GTS, but id like to know ur thoughts. and i only have 512mb of RAM. do u think getting more RAM would help me too? thnx!

yea start with the memory first, memory is very important.
then worry about the card later. look at ATI cards to they are not bad! also 512 mb or RAM is not alot, crucial.com will scan computer and tellu what you can use to help it also scans for video cards its will help.

Your slow FX5500 is an AGP card. The fast AGP cards are the X1950 Pro AGP and the Geforce 7950GT AGP. Get another matching 512Mb stick and run it on dual channel mode (if mobo is capable). You may have to upgrade your power supply so that it can power up the fast graphics card.
