Nope!!!....they would barely make the playoffs!
Jordan needs another HOFamer with him in order to suceed!.....He never "made anyone Better"..this was a myth!..
He did'nt start winning until Pippen arrived!
Jordan played five years without Pippen, all five teams had losing records. Two of those teams didn't even make the playoffs.
Jordan's playoff record without Scottie was 1 win and 10 losses, and he never made it out of the first round
Pippen played six full seasons without Michael, plus most of 1995, and all six teams had winning records
Pippen reached the Conference Finals without Michael, and also won other first round series' without Jordan.
Pippen did far better without Jordan than Jordan ever did without Pippen.
Unless the Lakers Trade Lamar and get a HOFamer then MJ will suffer the same fate of Kobe!...but Kobe can actually lead his team to a winning record...lol........without another HOFamer........

Dear yellowa55,
In his Prime Jordan would not be able to take the Lakers with this current roster to the title.
One of the biggest problems the Lakers have is defense. Jordan in his prime could go off- kind of like Kobe has during his 50 point streak.
More than that- they play in the West and there are too many good teams out West. When you have Kwame Brown and Smush Parker as part of your starting line up-- you aren't winning a championship!

there is no way Jordan could take that team to the championship, MJ needed Scottie to help him (who is also a HOF and TOP 50 PLAYER EVER), in his second stint he needed a great guy off the bench to help him in Toni Kukoc and a REBOUNDING CHAMPION in Dennis Rodman, in his first stint he needed a great shooter in John Paxson, and Ho Grant could hit the outside J .... let me know what Kwame Brown could do outside of 5 feet (he is only good as a man-to-man defender), Luke Walton is a weak defender, Lamar Odom is an inconsitent 2nd option and an average defender, and i dont even want to talk about smush parker ..... the worst starting PG to ever wear purple and gold and in no way could he get them past the Spurs, Mavs, or Suns

No, in the title runs with the bulls he always had one of the premier perimiter defenders with him (pippen) one of the top rebounders/defenders who played unselfish (passed at will) ball (grant, rodman) and one of the leagues top 3 point shooters (paxton, hodges, kerr)...odom is a tall perimiter player who can but doesnt post up first...kwame is just lost inside, smush is a spoiled underachiever, and luke while he is versatile does not have the outside shot like fox/horry did...currently there is no dead eye three shooter on the roster...you could sag on brown and odom and pack it in on the lakers...not the formula to make coach's offense effective...

of course jordan can achieve something that kobe bryant cant, jordan is way better than kobe. the prime jordan would kill the prime kobe. and yes he can lead any team to a title, he proved it when he won three titles, left the team, came back and won three more titles.jordan can win titles at will because hes just that amazing.

I'm wondering who says that he could be put on ANY team, as no player in history could win a championship just on his own, but MJ could certainly take the Lakers to the Conference Finals. The problem is the Spurs because they're a dynasty. I don't think he could defeat the Spurs, but if some other team takes them out, yes, he could win the NBA championship.

Nope ... they wouldnt be better than the spurs, mavs, and suns. And they would probably be a lot worse than that. MJ could score 50 anytime just like kobe ... that doesnt equal a victory.

no..the lakers as a team suck..compared to the jordan led bulls in the 90's.. plus today's players are more better and athletic than the one jordan faced! think about it who did jordan face? clyde drexler? compare that to today's stars like kobe, lebron, kg, wade.
