Her latest drivel concerns the Duke lacrosse players who were exonerated on rape charges.
Her claim seems to be that all liberals should be held responsible for the behavior of one man, the "liberal district attorney" who went after these guys.
First of all, yes, I think the guy mishandled the case. I want to make that clear at the beginning so I don't get jumped on for that. I am not defending him.
That said, wouldn't people have been upset if he hadn't prosecuted the charges with such vigor?
And she keeps whining that these lacrosse players' lives are ruined. I find that difficult to believe. After all, the same "liberal media" she demonizes for convicting these guys in the court of public opinion is also widely reporting that they're innocent.
So is she blind, or what is her problem?

The amazing thing is all the people here who believe that the media knows more than the investigators told them. Funny, huh?

She is an idiot. THAT is her problem.
Like any other good little media whore, she must use any and every single situation to make her point, otherwise she will just be another windbag.
Oh wait - she IS a windbag.

You fail to mention that these same liberal media types were condemning these players WHEN THEY KNEW the facts ran against prosecution. Ann pointed that out in her column...are you blind in one eye??
The media fell all over themselves to report the facts after the last threadbare blanket of denial was ripped off them. So, no, I have no problem with telling it like it is.
The media IS overwhelmingly liberal and is many times more biased than anything coming out of Fox News. And if liberals don't like Fox (I've heard them call Fox employees Nazis), then they should take a good hard look at themselves. If they were as fair and open-minded as they sanctimoniously say, there NEVER would have been a Fox News station.
Politics as usual.

Ok, but just what would have happened to those guys had this not all come out?? They would have spent the rest of their lives with this on their backs. It was only by the grace of God that they were found innocent, but what if? And while their lives may not be ruined there are those who aren't going to have followed the case or those who aren't going to believe all of this so they are still facing a rough road. Ann has the right to what she says cause she does see things clearly, more than most!

Oh, if I only had all night to list her problems. She is a really hateful, horrible person. Instead of making a valid argument, she just likes to say "Blame the Liberals". I feel bad for the Duke lacrosse players and the D.A. was absolutely wrong in what he did. However, she will take any case and twist and turn it to suit her "Hate the Liberals" B.S.
For all of you Coulter supporters, please name ONE (yes, just one) good thing that she has done for this country.
In my eyes, she is a total hatemonger.

Vigor? Calling these lacrosse players hooligans, demonizing them to make himself look good in front of the African American voters in his town? Continuing to hound and prosecute these men even after he knew they were innocent and the woman who charged them was lying? Forcing them to pay for legal defense for over a year racking up huge legal bills? No, personally I could have lived without that "vigor".
And you find it hard to believe their lives are ruined? They got kicked out of college! They were branded rapists and had their face thrown out for the world to see. How much harrasment and scorn must they have received? Can you imagine going to a grocery store to buy food for dinner and seeing your mugshot on a magazine wondering if anyone is going to recognize you and all for something you never did?
No my friend, Ann has her eyes open. What about you?

your comment and question is loaded up with facts.
the ann coulter's of the world don't ever bother to trade in fact.
they do much better with carefully fed, one liners for their semi-illiterate audience.
the fact that ann coulter called john edwards and al gore the f-word is not what's so horrible.
what's bewildering is that people actually laughed and really thought it was funny.
though everyone should know that coulter does indeed fear the same liberals she slanders on a daily basis.
everyone out here should know that big eddie schultz has challenged ann coulter to a straight up debate and she will have no part of it.

Perhaps, beacuse the media spent months claiming these boys must be guilty, simply because of their parents wealth. They chided these young men because they were well represented, and more then once, the issue of race was raised by the liberal media. When found not guilty, the same media was not near as aggressive in stories about their innocence as they were about their alleged guilt.

OK - it would seem they didn't do it and the system worked and exhonerated them. Difficult to see what her issue really is. Mind you capacity for logical or reasonable thought is not a characteristic Ann is well known for.

Innocent of rape. Not innocent of being drunken morons who get a stripper just to publicly shout racial obscenities at. Really who cares about them. Everyone involved in that case was an idiot. Its not like anyone is going to revoke their good 'ole boys club membership.
