I am 21 years old and I am noticing that my hair line is receding and I can see my scalp more and more. I've always had long hair so the fact that I am losing it (thank you genetics) is very depressing. I've looked into this shaving head thing because I honestly do not have the money for hair transplant and meds, that money is going towards college and all. I just want to know if I will look ok with a shaved head. My fear is that after I do it, it will look horrible. So some honest opinions please, thanks. Yeah, you might as well shave it. The receding hairline is going to look terrible with longer hair. You should either just get like a super short hair cut, or just shave it. When it is shaved, the balding/recession will be a lot less noticable. Plus, saves you money.

Think it is best to either shave your head or go for a number 1-3 trimming. There is nothing worse than a guy who has hardly any hair and goes for the comb over or the pony tail with no hair on top.
Go bald with pride as there is nothing you can do to stop it (well cheaply anyway).

Honey- hair grows, even if it looks bad, it can grow back within a fairly short amount of time.
Plus, although most men arent aware of this, a hair line can be kinda charming on a guy.
If ever you shave your head and you dont like it. well. here are a few good sides to a bad haircut.
1) Hysterical sobbing does wonders for your abs.
2) If ppl will still be seen with you in public, you must be one stellar individual
3) Its better than a comb over honey
4) Your more likely to exercise-great muscles cancel out bad hair, skeptical? watch G.I jane.
5) You wont be as intimidating to others because- at last!- you have agenuine flaw. ;)
6) Now ppl at work can give you a nickname,,,lol
7) It's only hair....

Talk to several hair stylist. Good ones give you the best advice, especially if they want your return business. I have your same problem. I was advised to keep my hair short- not completely shaved. Short hair is in. Good luck. I know how you must feel.

i know that there are websites where you can upload a picture of yourself and try on different hairstyles. you could try a bald style on and see how it looks. sorry, i don't know the site but if search, you could probably find it. if i remember it soon i will get back to you...

bro..... most people don't care... seriously.
men are getting botox, hair implants.... even muscle implants, and they still lack what they need most....
what people DO notice, is confidence and lucidity.
nothing says "delusional", quite like long hair/bald spot guy. Cut it off, and be proud you have testosterone in your blood.
