My favorite, perhaps because it was the first, is 80 Days Around the World. The 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and From the Earth to the Moon.

"The Mysterious Island" is my favorite. I believe it is the sequel to "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea." "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" is also very good. The movies made in the late 50's and 60's are fun but they are given the Hollywood fantasy treatment and differ from the books. These stories have been remade into movies many times as they are great adventures.

"Off on a Comet". It was an interesting book about a comet hitting the Earth and the survivors living on the last remaining chunk. It tends to get a bit technical with a professor giving long speeches in it, but a good read.

Two. "Around the World in Eighty Days" and "Twnety Thousand Leagues under the Sea."

Sure, lots of them. But the one that impressed me the most because of it creativity and advanced thinking was _20,000 Leagues Under the Sea_. Wonderful book. Drags a little in the beginning, but gets moving quickly.
