Boulder is a great town. Light and fun with many great things to see and do both summer and winter. Tubing down the river in summer and copping a good buzz, Hiking in the local foot hills. Lots of good restaurants and music. And if you don't like city life you can get out of town very easily and live in a more country atmosphere. Why would anyone hate a town. I think that says more about the person than it does about the town.
PS; Capricorn.. those middle aged yuppies were probably hippies when hippies were hippies. The new young hippies are just copying the older generation. and not very well I might add!

I like Boulder, is very nice and tranquile. Also clean. I dont mind hippies coz at the end of the day when I go to Boulder the last thing i think of is to make friends.. I just go there to enjoy nature and do hiking, going on the rapids and all that stuff.

I love Boulder, but maybe it's just because I'm used to it. Yes, people are quirky but I much prefer the atmosphere then the one down in Denver.
I've come across rude people everywhere - can't say that Boulder is more rude then other places. Quite the opposite in our experience.

I used to live in Boulder and I liked the outdoorsy aspect of it and that it was easy to get to a hiking trail. But there are too many people there now and too many of them are weird and some are downright rude. One day when I was still living there, my hubby and I were walking along a sidewalk near where we lived when a jogger came running up behind us and said something to the effect of "thanks for moving", in a rude tone of voice. We had no idea he was there until he said that to us and he had the nerve to think that we were walking on HIS sidewalk! Another time we had an incident with someone in another car and we were just driving along normally, doing what we were supposed to be doing. Boulder was a better place when I first moved there nearly 20 years ago.

I like Boulder in small doses. I like that it is a very active town with lots of biking, hiking, jogging, walking, etc trails. And it is very friendly to vegans, like me. My main problem is not with the hippies, its the middle aged yuppies who move to Boulder and try to act like hippies. Thats just annoying.

I do not like Boulder because the people there are rude. If it weren't for their rudeness Boulder would be great.
