My Apple 12" powerbook G4 has a memory slot that I know can be upgraded. However there is 128 mb built into the computer that I don't know if I can upgrade. I've heard conflicting stories. It seems like it would function better if it had two equal amounts working in tandem.

I bought the laptop back in 2003, and it still works pretty well for being that old. It was the generation with the nine hundred and something mhz processors.

Depending on the year yes you can upgrade and it is recommended that when you do you purchase a matched set.
Either 2-256s, or 2-512s, or 2-1gig sticks
