Sen. David Vitter on Monday( Republican) denied having relationships with New Orleans prostitutes, a week after admitting links to a Washington escort service that federal prosecutors allege was a prostitution ring.

Vitter emerged from a week of seclusion by appearing at a news conference in suburban Metairie while holding hands with his wife, Wendy. He denied the New Orleans prostitution allegations and offered no indication that he would resign. He said he planned to fly Monday night to Washington to resume work in the Senate. I am a proud Republican and I am an honest man. I was just doing what the Republicans do and now that I'm caught I will do my best to be a better person.

It is safe to say the Republicans have had just as many sexual scandals in the past as the Democrats!
Every time something comes out about a Rep,Sen, or Con, it is reduced to bad behavior, by saying that Clinton did it first!
You all have Newt, you have Foley and now Vitter, and your list goes on and on, so don't just list Bill Clinton!
It has wrong-doers on both sides! You might try to remember that, when you are slinging insults at the Dems!!!

Secretly, they're proud of Vitter for what he did - because they ALL do those kinds of immoral things. They're just not too happy that he got caught (but, then, better him than them!). Ever notice how no politician ever admits such transgressions until they get caught red-handed?? -RKO- 07/16/07

I think that relieved is more accurate than proud. At least now other Cons can say "Well, Vitter did it too...." when their names come up in this case. Ha Ha Ha.

No they are not but the democrats are still proud of Bill Clinton. I suppose that though it was easily proven that Monica was telling the truth despite all his attempts to discredit her they are still willing to believe that the women who said he rapped or molested them are lying. If Hillary is elected will he be known as the First Rapist?

Not this one. I don't much care for his posturings, irrespective of his personal morals.
