Hmm...interesting question. Since I raise both I've been in public with both quite a few times. They are both lots of fun, but llamas are probably the more amusing of the two to have in public. When I've had my llamas out, I've had people ask me "what kind of horse is that?", and I've seen people grab their kids and tell them to stay away or get spit on (llamas spit at each other occasionally, but a well trained llama won't spit on a person). People ask tons of questions about them and in general they just garner a lot of attention. It's also fun to show people all the different things they can do and how versatile they are. So...I guess I would pick llamas, although they are both fun and I enjoy taking both out in public.

I'd rather be seen with a llama than a goat. Most people at least recognize a goat. Many people where I live haven't seen a llama before. They would come up to you asking questions and that would be fun.

Goats are pretty cool too though.

A goat. Goats give milk and people won't think I'm diddling with a goat. But a guy walking around with a Llama, kind of suspicious.

Goats. Especially Savannahs or LaManchas. They're better conversationalists than llamas.

A llama. I think people would react better to the llama - many awws, and such. Both of them are hard to control. The llama may spit on people but at least it wont try to eat everything in sight...
