I use dishes like these for reptiles: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/13062/product.web , for crabs I've kept, at least for the water. Using a deeper bowl that they can climb in and out of helps keep the humidity higher, and lets them soak when they need to, so you don't need to give them baths to keep the gills moist. Just choose a size that's appropriate for the size crabs you have.

If your hermits are small, you could try a jar lid, if they're larger, maybe a plastic food container (from a deli or something similar) that you can cut to a good height. Just put a stone inside so they have a way to get out (or else they might drown). Keep in mind that you need to add the stone when you choose tour container.

Hopefully, you know that unless the crabs you have are Ecuadorans, they need to have two places for water, one for fresh (dechlorinated) and one for saltwater.

A seashell or flat piece of slate will work for food. They don't eat that much. They can eat most of the same things you do - fruit, veggies, meat, shrimp, etc. cut into small pieces. Just leave out any sauces or seasonings.

I'm enclosing some links about hermit crabs and their care below for you:

If you have small hermit crabs (I doubt they are the softball sized ones), then they eat and drink out of a clam shell. You can buy a natural sponge and 2 medium sized clam shells. Go home and soak the sponge in DECHLORINATED water and put a tiny bit of water in the shell. Then put some hermit cran food in the other shell.

For now until tomorrow you can use a wet washrag and a medium or large lid like a peanut butter lid for the water dish. Get a smaller lid for the food bowl.

food and water dishes need to be shallow. u can use a cap to a pickle jar or something similar. this way they wont drown and all crabs can get i and get out easy. also make sure food in in small pieces and fresh water is avaiable. the shells need to be a size bigger then their currant shell size and make sure there is a couple for each crab. if a crab dies and leaves shell behind u can reuse it if u drop it in boiling water for a few minutes! best of luck!
