the vote is worthless and symbolic as usual. The Senate will never pass it, and even if it did, the veto pen awaits. Back to the drawing board for pelosi & co.

No, they're probably hoping that the Republican members of Congress who have been speaking out against Bush's policies in Iraq would get some stones and put their votes where their mouths are. But that would really be expecting too much wouldn't it? Party comes before anything as far as the Republicans are concerned. So the Democrats will remain obstructed, and if not obstructed, then vetoed, then obstructed again. The funny part? The Republicans will actually be surprised on Election Day when they find out the American people are not stupid and have very long memories.
