There is no such thing as 'best deal'. It all depends on yourself.
For example, a gamer will find that the 1520, and 1720 are a good deal because of the graphic card options. The 1720 comes with way more stuff included in price, but it's heavier.

The 1420 would be good for the occasional web surfer, and light gamers.

Not a bad deal equipped with the Turion and get the free upgrade to 2gig of RAM - you will need it with Vista. Also - the 15.4 inch screen would be the best in my opinion.
