It isn't. Rap can be about a lot more than that. The thing is, Rappers nowadays, at least the ones yoh hear, or more specifically, their managers, want to live up to an image people give them. There are songs that aren't like that, but unfortunatly, they don't sell as well, and don't make it on the mainstream radio. Do your research. There are plenty of rappers who do 'real' rap.

Why do you listen to the radio? Think before you act (post). Why do people say that, I would like to know specific songs that have this. Atleast 200. 'Cause you're saying that rap is that in general. There are over 1 million rap songs, and I doubt 50% of those songs are about the stuff you listed. Thanks for the 2 points. I like when dudes like you ask stupid questions. Easy points!

Maybe your just listening to the wrong kind of rap! Think Gym Class Heroes, Mos Def, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Wyclef Jean. 50 Cent and other stereotypical rappers don't represent Hip Hop, at least not for me! lol

That's what makes it soo fun, the part you left out was "in jail, woman going along with another man besides me(when i'm in jail or otherwize), doing drugs will turn you into a crackhead, and I got robbed of my possessions and I'm not a role model". The answer to all the what if questions people ponder from time to time. It's really fun to listen to because it shows the lighter side of life.
