I would ask for hcg levels 2 days apart. If they double in 48-72 hours than all is fine! Good luck!!!!

No you are completly fine and normal....I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I had some spotting today and so being a paranoid person I called my doctor and he said its very normal to spot and the reason is most likely because this is around the time you would have started your period so you might spot a little bit. You should only worry if the spotting turns into heavier bleeding and is accompanied by pain

I spotted around 6 weeks and then again at 8 weeks. The doctor did an ultrasound both times and said everything looked fine. I'm now 20 weeks and haven't had any more spotting since. It's normal to be scared! I'm sure everything will be just fine! Congrats to you :)

I had spotting daily through my 5th and 6th week. I was so scared because everyone said I was having a miscarriage. Everything turned out fine. I am now 36 weeks and haven't had any other problems throughout the pregnancy. Best of luck to you.

Hello. I can completely understand why you are worrying so much! Especially being your first baby, you just want everything to run smoothly. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and from about 8 to12 weeks I experienced spotting. Spotting is quite normal and as long as you are not experiencing any pain (like period cramps) it shouldn't be a problem. Just try and relax and of course if you start worrying go to the doctor... sometimes it's good just to go for some reassurance. Good luck to you and your baby!

some women spot at the beginning of pregnancy. I would keep an eye on it and make sure you're keeping hydrated. i had a miscarriage and it's no fun. You never really know what each sign means until the answer is right there. If you begin to get cramping and bleed heavier, i would see a doc.
good luck and congrats!

Is this spotting after sexual intercourse, strenious activity or anything like that? If so then you should be fine. At six weeks some spotting is okay as long as it isn't heavy bleeding or persistant. Keep an eye on it and if it gets bad or becomes heavy then contact your doctor again, you shouldn't experience something similar to your peroid but a few drops on the tp are fine.

Did they have an ultrasound to confirm that it was fine? You definitely want to get an ultrasound...I know that you are scared, I was the first time too. Same thing happened with me and I kept spotting then it went to heavy bleeding and it resulted in miscarriage. This is my 3rd pregnancy, get the ultrasound, demand one, girl! And take it easy, drink water, get rest.

I spotted when I was 6 weeks too and my doctor did a transvaginal sonogram. We heard the baby's heartbeat, 116 bpm, so everything was fine, but I did alot of resting when I could. I tried to stay off my feet so much and I wore shoes with no heels. As long as its no cramping with the spotting you'll be fine. Just take it easy and you should be fine. Remember your 1st trimester is your most critical time. So try not to do so much and lay down and get plenty of rest as much as you can. Congratulations!

I worked in a family planning clinic and so many people came in spotting during their early pregnancy. The OB I worked with said that around 25% of women experience it.
If you start cramping or bleeding heavily, I would get checked out.

my wife had the same thing. they said it was normal and it turned out to be nothing. mostly stress related. you may need to take some time off from work or what not and relax. i know its easy to say and hard to do but don't worry. it's more than likely cause by your body making room for the baby. there is a lot going inside you right now so don't worry and start thinking of some names for the young one. =) Good Luck!
