The ignition module is under the engine cowling. It is held on by a couple of screws. Once the cowling is off it is an easy job. The air gap or clearance is not all that important so long as there is a gap. .003-.008". Make sure the module doesn't drag on the flywheel.

there made differnt craftsman engine is a briggs and straton personally i wouldn think it would work lol...but some poeple like can put a ford motor in a chevy .....best of luck..
