Meaning comes from living out your purpose. If you exclude God, your question is meaningless. If you exclude God, there is nothing to find "out there", all you can do is invent something and try to convince yourself that it was meant to be.
You're probably just asking about things that make you feel good inside. If so, do those things that boost your self ego. Do a few minor acts of kindness so you think yourself a fine person.

The meaning of life is life. In some way, we were born, doesnt matter how, So the purpose of life is to live life, from when were born to when we are dead. You see, when you are born, you learn 2 things, Life and Happiness. (you cant argue that) Happiness is on Top of everything. The top of the "stairs". The steps leading down are all emotions, or negative things. When we take a step down from happiness. we will do anything to get back to the top. Example...We will help people out in life, because it makes us happy. Or Some will Kill people in life because it makes them happy. But both did what they did because it made them happy. always keeping them selves at the top spot which is "Happiness".
a person that wants to live, lives for happiness, so he stays at the top of the stairs.
A person who is sad and wants do die. kills himself to be "happy" so he remains at the top of the stairs.
And a person who spends his time trying to find the meaning of life, is just trying to find a point which will make him "happy".
so he too will remain at the top of the stairs.
so if you think of any billion things that will help you find the meaning of life you will see how they all go back to happiness. well thanks for your time and see ya later.

ya i would like to know how long i am here and what it is i to learn form all i am having to do.. my life been hard and painful but if i could just know it was all worth while.
