I don't 'dislike' the girl, I feel sorry for her. And I feel this way, because that's taking away her Independence, her individuality, her freedom, even her right to 'live'. She will miss out on so much, there are so many things females can do this day 'N' age that they should take advantage of! They have rights now, and they should use them to their full potential. They have freedom now, and they shouldn't let that pass them by. Females are being recognized for what they really are, and to throw that all away is simply ridiculous. To give up all that our mothers, and grandmothers, and all of our ancestors work so hard to achieve, is just so wrong. They gave their lives, so that we may have better ones. They went through tortures beyond beliefs, and to not respect that and never use what they have fallen for, is just unbelievable. I mean, I can't understand why a female would want to do that

If it makes them happy that's their business.I personally don't believe in it.I grew up a long time ago and my parents are dead so no one is in charge of me.With my husband it's a partnership.I will do anything I can for him because I love and respect him.I think it means a lot more when someone does something for you because they want to not because they have to.He is my best friend, when he's happy I'm happy and vise versa.

Personally I wouldn't be any other way; for me 23 yesrs of marriage and counting proves it. What I do dislike is when people believe that an obedient wife cowers in a corner out of fear and if she does, she's not obedient she scared to death of him; there is a difference.

But it's true. Wives should obey their husbands. The man is the head of the family. i'm not saying that husbands are in charge of their wives or they have to control them, but I'm just old fashioned about marrige. I believe that the man is the head and he make the decisions and the wife should obey.

I believe the woman should should walk behind the man as well. That way she can give him a kick in the behind if he needs it, but administered with love. Just curious , are you married ( not that I'm proposing)?

i think it's fine for her, because she is her own person, and can decide to either obey, make her own decisions etc. it's none of your or my business. as for me, i would say it is fine as long as he is not stupid, abusive, and will not take advantage. however if he only cares about himself makes decisions without asking others then i wouldn't like him. also, i think he should also listen to her for example if she asks "could you go buy some extra crackers at the grocery?" or "could you try and not make such a mess when you eat?"

Yes, it bothers me to a degree. On one hand, if she chooses to be subservient to her husband, that is her choice and I respect that. On the other hand, if she honestly believes she is a lesser human being than her husband, it makes me want to scream. No person is better or worse than the next, nor should anyone feel they are better or worse than anyone else.

I've never actually known a woman with these beliefs, but yeah, I would think it was kinda weird. I guess, though, as long as she's not trying to force her beliefs on me, it's ok. Not any of my business.

Yes. I prefer her to be a complete individual,..not another "half of me" as in the sweet but silly love songs.
