From who...the Sunni's or Kurds? You would still have same problem.
Malaki is a poor choice though he is better than Chalabi. Not to mention he is closely aligned with Al-Sadr. I do not think he will last too much longer. Plus he (and the majority of the Iraqi's) are resistant to the Bush administrations idea of privatizing Iraqi oil.

Sure, it would be effective. But it would utterly prove once and for all that the US has no interest in bringing democracy to Iraq, and that we have utterly no respect whatsoever for the laws or electoral processes of any other country.
In other words, it proves everything our enemies have been saying about us all along. But go right ahead if you think it would help.
