Your survey reading is flawed, as well. There are 41% who don't see a bias - 25% who see it as objectively "unbiased" and 16% "not sure" - in other words, who don't see any bias that they can identify.

Mainstream media lost it's objectivity when laws were passed allowing corporate ownership of the media. That's going to mean (A) a dumbing down of the news, for many reasons, and (B) a bias towards establishment and controlling institutions.

The conservatives first started their complaints about "liberal bias" during the Viet Nam era, when they complained, much as they do today, that there MUST be a bias because they didn't see a pro-conservative bias.

It's the "you're with us or against us" mentality. Sorry, but the media can be objective. If the facts don't line up with your own personal philosophy, it's not because of bias, the facts are what the facts are.

Actual studies of the news itself have shown there is NOT a liberal bias. In fact, the media is so cowed, they go overboard to try and prove they don't have a liberal bias, to the point of slanting the news in a conservative way.

it is very interesting to discover who actually owns the majority in each media channel..if the media does not follow a certain agenda then they will be cut off from Washington DC, and certain funds will disappear,in the past 10 days 7 service members have lost their lives in Iraq, not 1 Chanel has reported this decline... it is and has been the agenda of big media to keep America in a state of panic which therefore allows for easy manipulation of whatever category they choose..

These two university studies prove there is a bias, it is liberal and it is pervasive.
