Dear Boss,
Please excuse me from work today. Apparently, the leg reattachment surgery didn't work so well. I've got to hop on over to the doctor for a little look-see.
PS: It's my right leg. Driving will be a bit problematic for a while, I'm afraid. Will keep in touch. Be a good chap and send the disability check to my home address, will you?

I forgot I was called to jury duty and my number came up this morning.
I've been having trouble with my car and today it just won't start. I need to get it fixed.

Because I fell asleep working on my laptop and i slept on my neck wrong and it hurts to sit up straight. Web MD said just rest it and a wrap up with a heating pad. Worked for me last month. Just rub your neck a lot first day back.

I refuse to quit and you can't fire me. Works every time but only well in Socialist countries or if you can collect your paid due unemployment benefits. Has it's long term drawbacks though.
