What is the purpose of angel headlamps?

Besides being recognized from afar as a BMW vehicle, and for letting road users know there's a car coming, angel eyes headlamps do not serve any other purpose.

if you mean the angel eyes that come on many BMW's then i believe there is no real purpose. they are just a bmw signature much like the hoff-kink and the kidney grill.

if you mean angle, its to see around the corner before you get around the corner.
