How cool is Harry Reid? Will his "up all night" strategy work?

Question

With republicans blocking the pull out of our troops in Iraq the Majority leader of the senate plans on keeping the senate up until the crack of dawn wednesday morning to debate the war.

"How many sleepless nights have our soldiers and their families had?"
-Democratic Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

Even if it does not work I think the measure deserves brownie points. What do you think?

So what's with all the end-the-war talk? The impression being created by the debate in Washington is more about politics than anything else. For starters, Democrats are playing to their base: Though most Senate Democrats support a redeployment along the lines that Bush is describing, they are keen to give voters the impression that they are all for getting the U.S. out of Iraq. And they are, but not yet. They, too, recognize a need for a strong, interim force in country to offset the threat of mass killing, secure the borders, chase al-Qaeda and deter Iranian meddling in the country.

No matter what side your on Harry Reid is not cool lol. If your a Republican or a Democrat you can never be cool. When is everyone going to figure out the 2 party system is really a 1 party system run by the best actors this side of Hollywood. This stunt(which it is) is just a useless distraction.

Senator Reid deserves a lot of credit for trying to end this pointless war in Iraq. I hope it does work. Key word here is "hope."

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have shown thus far, what happens when two incompetent people are placed in charge of anything. Since they took control in January they have tried to force immigration amnesty upon us, they have discussed the “Fairness Doctrine” and they want to hand our troops a defeat in Iraq. These items should give pause to any American who values freedom and believes in peace through strength. If these Bozos get their way and surrender to the terrorists we will see a bloodbath in Iraq and attacks on our home soil.
We have thousands of men and women on a high state of alert each day looking for any indication of an attack in the US. The terrorists want to come here and attack us on our own soil. They view that as a significant blow to us and our psyche and they would love nothing more than to cause havoc in a heavily crowded area within this country in order to scare our people, break our will, and force us to acquiesce to their demands and their lifestyle.
Muslims, and make no mistake about it these terrorists are Muslims, look at fear or weakness as a sign to attack. They believe that if they attack us enough they can force us to surrender in Iraq and that victory will embolden thousands more who would love the chance to become a martyr against the Great Satan. This is what Pelosi, Reid, Murtha and the others have in mind. They want to give away the country on the home front and give it up to the terrorists overseas.
They might think they have a mandate but they will be sorry in 2008.
Those who support the war and who are serving in high level positions are now coming under fire from the left. Military officers used to be left alone, they were confirmed for a post and served, then they moved on. They are not elected officials and they are professionals who know their jobs. Unfortunately, if they support their troops and their Commander in Chief, they are targets for the left.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, “incompetent” .
Reid made similar disparaging remarks about Army Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq.
Looking at this who do we see in the mix? Ole cut and run, the war is lost, Harry Reid. Reid does not support the troops and all he cares about is his ability to appease the Democratic base. These are the people who want us out of Iraq and who have been beating up the Democrats for their inability to accomplish this. As Reid told them, the Democrats set the bar too high on this one. But that is not preventing Reid from blasting outstanding military officers in order to advance his political agenda of defeat.
It is amazing that we would have a guy like this in a leadership position, especially during a time of war. Harry Reid could not lead a group of people out of a burning building and I believe that stroke he had ruined the two brain cells he had in the peanut head of his.
Harry Reid is a disgrace to this country.

I though Harry Reid was a pretty smart man until he came up with that "undocumented Americans" crap when referring to the illegals. That just proves the point........ he has the hoof and mouth disease. Everytime he opens his mouth, his foot automattically inserts itself.
