It can be.
It doesn't depend on whether you are just playing it for fun, or if you are really intent on contacting the "other side". There are a few people who can channel (connect between this world and the other), but most can't.
The problem arises where you have a latent (someone with abilities, but is unaware of them) doing, or participating in, the reading.
They might unknowingly open channels to places that are best left alone, or to those whose skills have been honed to cope with that which lies beyond. They might let through that which no longer belongs here, and can reek havoc in this plane. They might frighten people, and have no way of closing the breach, once opened.. And they are unprepared to deal with the information that they might call on.
So to avoid the possibility of being confronted by the unexpected, this is best left alone.

It's not too bad unless you do something very wrong. And you'll know when you think what to ask it and stuff. And from what I've heard, if you do meet a spirit, don't keep going back to it, especially if it's just you playing it it is probable that it can take you over.
I'm not too sure whether to believe in it or not. But to me, anything dealing with that stuff, good or bad, shouldn't be toyed around with.
When I was small, like 4, I remember my sister had one. She played it with her friends like once. When I looked in her closet, on the top shelf is where I first found the board. I had no clue what it was, or what it could possibly do, but all I know is, when I asked to look at it and try it, she left her room.
Maybe something bad happened, maybe not, she's normal now at the age of 25, but still.
All I really have to say is just be careful.
It's one of those things where you want to do it without actually doing it, unfortunately, we can't do that.

Some people or Hollywood would like you to believe so. But since there is no conclusive proof in ghosts, aliens from other planets, Sasquatch, etc. file this under a myth. Still you can have fun with it, especially with your friends as you attempt to contact those that are not of this world.

Hi Music, YES VERY DANGEROUS!!! When i was in High Shool me and my friends got together and we play "The Ouija
Board"and we ask all sorts of question and then we started making fun of the Quija Board and for some reason the board was after me. I spell out my name and said," I Am Going To Kill You" My shomach fell to my feet and i felt lite headed and i was scare to dead. One of my friends dared me to stay in that room while all of them went to the kitchen and would wait. Well you know in High School if someone dares you, you are going to do it to save face. They went in to the kitchen and my heart was beating 3 times faster that normal i was scare out of my head. I sat there for about 5 mintues and then i could feel some kind of presents and it seem like the room was even getting darker and my heart was just pounding i could feel something getting closer and i thought i was going to pass out because i was so scare. Anyway i thought something awful was going to happen to me and right when i decided i was going to get the hell out of there,1 of my friends came into the room and grab my hand and pulled me out of that room. She said, She was afraid for me and just knew she had to get me out of that room. By that evening until now i have never play a Quija Board and never will. There was something in that room with me, i knew it and so did my friend who grab my hand. This is no lie this really did happen and i am still today scare to dead of that game. A Friend.

If your playing with younger kids, yes! i played it for my 12 b-day and everybody started screaming and running all over the house till somebody accidently wacked someone in the head.

i once had a ouija board,everytime i used it it gave me the woolies,my friends were telling me to stop moving the little play piece and i wasnt moving it,that was the weirdest part! that dang piece was moving on its own!!!dont get one it ll spook you out!

My belief is that anything that has to do with the spirit world is not something to play around with, it is serious and should be treated as such.

i think ouija board is dangerous to play coz its like your calling bad spirits........it might cause possession of bad spirits....

only if you make your own board out of cardboard and use a shot glass for the "receiver".
