Is this normal?

The ONLY reason one chooses siding is so it does not need maintenance. So it DOES NOT PEEL. Usually last 25 years. However, if you or the previous owner painted it, then it can peel. Have a siding installer come over to give you a free estimate, then ask him why yours is peeling......

Siding, aluminum or otherwise, should last as long as it is maintained. When you say the siding is peeling do you mean the paint on the siding? If the siding is corroding perhaps it appears to be peeling. If that is the case you must remove any loose, flaking material. If there are holes in the siding they need to be filled. Then clean, scrape, prime, and paint the siding. Hopes that answers your question.

No, it's not normal. Most aluminum sidings came with a minimum 20 year warranty on finish. If you have records and the manufacturer is still in business, you have a warranty claim.

No. The paint may turn chalky, but should not peal. First look for any areas where it may be in contact with a dissimilar metal. Iron. copper, or other metals will cause corrosion.
Second: It most likely came with a warranty. Find your paperwork, and contact the manufacturer.
